Disclaimers & Editorial Standards

Trade Forge Network  |  v1.1

Last Updated: 25th June 2026

This page sets out Trade Forge Network's editorial standards and the disclaimers referenced throughout our blog content. We cover three areas: affiliate links, professional and financial guidance, and trade services.

Affiliate Links

Some posts on Trade Forge Network contain affiliate links, marked with an asterisk (*). If you sign up for or purchase a product or service via one of these links, Trade Forge Network may earn a small commission - at no extra cost to you.

We only recommend products and services we genuinely believe are right for the tradespeople we work with. Where we have personally used a product, that experience informs our recommendation. Where we haven't, our recommendation is based on thorough independent research. We don't accept payment to feature products, and we don't add affiliate links to posts where a product wouldn't be recommended regardless.

Posts containing affiliate links say so at the top of that post. Affiliated products are also marked with an asterisk (*) in the body text, so you always know where a commercial relationship exists.

Professional and Financial Guidance

Trade Forge Network is not a qualified accountant, tax adviser, financial adviser, insurance broker, or legal professional.

Content on this site that covers topics such as tax, accounting, banking, insurance, or legal matters is for general guidance only and does not constitute professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your circumstances. What applies to one business may not apply to another - particularly where your personal tax position, business structure, or regulated activities are involved.

This disclaimer applies to all Trade Forge Network content covering these topics.

Trade Services

Trade Forge Network provides business and repeat revenue advice for tradespeople. We are not qualified or registered in any trade - not as gas engineers, electricians, plumbers, or any other trade.

Nothing on this site constitutes advice on how to carry out trade services, comply with trade-specific safety or regulatory requirements, or meet industry standards. References to specific services - boiler servicing, EICRs, CP12s, unvented cylinder work, and others - are made in a business context only, as examples of services that create repeat revenue opportunities. They are not descriptions of how those services should be delivered.

For technical or regulatory guidance relating to your trade, consult your trade association, Gas Safe Register, NICEIC, NAPIT, or the relevant regulatory body.

This disclaimer applies to all Trade Forge Network content.
